**FOOD PRODUCTION COMPANY LOOKING FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR / SQF PRACTITIONER**

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will report to Quality Senior Management and assist in developing and implementing Quality Assurance policies and procedures that meet regulatory, standard, industry, customer and corporate standards/requirements.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead the QA technicians and support them in their daily responsibilities
- Performs daily Training, GMP inspections, internal audits according to written programs and documents results and corrective actions
- Investigates and communicates potential problems to QA Management.
- Examine all processes from incoming raw materials, process and finished products to shipment to make sure they comply with the company’s quality and food safety standards at all levels
- Assesses the effectiveness of the traceability program: perform daily coding for all the finished products. Participates in mock recalls/ audits.
- Assists with implementations of food safety and quality policies and procedures required for the GFSI audit standards, customer audits and external audits.
- Assist in investigating / completing root cause and corrective actions of nonconformities.
- Performs Environmental testing program as per standard procedures, swabs equipment, drains, floor, etc. and submits samples for laboratory analysis.
- Reviews and verifies food safety records, including CCP and PC to assure wholesomeness of the finished products and compliance with industry standards and follows up on issues noted and files.
- Assists with investigations of consumer / customer complaints and Trending
- Performs calibration of measuring devices (thermometers, scales, ATP meter etc.)
- Back up for QA Technicians
- Other related duties and responsibilities assigned by management

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Skill to document findings and data clearly, concisely and accurately
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced cold production environment
- Strong analytical, written and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors and production floor employees
- 2 years QA Supervisory experience in the food industry, particularly experience with SQF programs and the regulatory requirements
- Very strong Microsoft office skills
- Knowledge of food safety (HACCP/ GFSI) programs, GMP programs and Quality Systems

**ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- HACCP Certified
- PSQI certified Preferred
- Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ Hours
- Work environment will be noisy and at low temperature (around 3 degrees Celsius)
- Hands-on work
- requirements - largely work in the plant
- Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds
- Available to work any day or shift (Day/ Night or Weekends)
