**Position Title: Forklift operator (Reception/Expedition)**

**Title Position Reports to**: Production Manager

**Location**: Anjou, Quebec (Montreal)

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As a forklift operator for the receiving/shipping department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining stock records, verifying product compliance with shipping documents, and coordinating logistics to ensure a smooth flow of operations. Additionally, you will need to ensure that safety standards and operational procedures are strictly adhered to, in order to guarantee the quality and efficiency of the logistics process.

**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- Receiving and identifying raw materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Preparing customer orders while following company procedures (FIFO, documentation, WHMIS).
- Preparing Packing slips for orders and Bills of lading.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Actively participating in physical inventory counts in the warehouse.
- Placing finished products and materials in the warehouse while ensuring accurate notations for effective inventory management.
- Grouping items together, placing the most recent production at the back or bottom of the pallet.
- Following the Quality Assurance process to ensure compliance with product specifications and company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and promoting a safe working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Keeping equipment and work area clean and in good condition.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures and policies.
- Demonstrating flexibility to meet production needs.
- Suggesting improvements for operational efficiency when necessary.
- Regularly checking the condition of forklifts.
- Performing any other related tasks.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE**
- Ability to read, write, count, and calculate proficiently
- Possession of a valid forklift driving license
- Experience with Double Reach Forklifts
- Availability and open-mindedness
- Clean and orderly work habits
- Good physical fitness
