**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the School of ESL Programs, student services offered at the College, and George Brown College academic policies and procedures.
- Communicates with students effectively and cordially and respond to students’ general questions, making appropriate referrals.
- Assists students in making academic, personal, and social adjustments to campus and community life.
- Coordinates all Student Success Centre activities such as space booking, catering, registration, promotion, workshops, and volunteer management.
- Organizes orientation programming for new international and domestic students and provide leadership to the Success Coaches and volunteers during orientations.
- Provides support to activities and events that engage students (e.g., orientation, workshops, extracurricular activities, volunteer opportunities, service fairs).
- Coordinates Volunteer Program activities, including classroom visits and presentation, scheduling, recruitment, training, feedback, and outreach to current and potential volunteer partners both external and internal to the College.
- Recruits volunteers through various channels and create and carry out marketing and outreach initiatives to increase awareness, visibility and participation in the Volunteer Program.
- Daily set up and maintenance of the Student Success Centre; responsible for keeping the Centre organized, ensuring resources and information are sufficient, current, and accurate.
- Provides administrative support to the program including booking equipment, placing orders for catering, organizing meetings and ordering office supplies.
- Provides administrative and logístical support for the planning and delivery of Student Success initiatives.
- Develops filing systems and manage information pertaining to volunteer, event and workshop initiatives (daily, weekly, monthly) and compile data collection resulting in spreadsheets and reports for Student Success Initiatives Coordinator.
- Tracks and escalates issues, solve problems, and provide support to Student Success Coaches in dealing with challenging situations; inform the Student Success Coordinator daily of challenges and successes regarding the Success Team and Success Centre.
- Coordinates regular communication with Success Coaches regarding work assignments, resource-finding, work expectations and responsibilities, data input and following plans approved by and under the direction of the Student Success Initiatives Coordinator.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Three-year diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business or Office Administration and/or equivalent experience or educational background.
- Minimum two years office experience in providing high-level customer service to a diverse clientele in a service/educational setting.
- Minimum two years event coordination experience including managing all aspects of an event from start to finish.
- Superior customer service and communication skill.
- Advanced skill level on Microsoft Office; excellent knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and relational databases.
- Proficient with Social Media Platforms for marketing and outreach.
- Fluent in written and oral English and proficiency in a second language is an asset.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills: ability to troubleshoot and resolve conflict exercising tact, discretion, and sound judgment; ability to prioritize.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to cope under pressure associated with the management of numerous high-volume tasks in a busy service environment; high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to work in an environment where diversity of people and situations are encountered.
- Demonstrated commitment in delivering excellent service to others - key in supporting the success of our students and College.
