We’re seeking a dynamic **Operations Manager**to oversee operations, streamline processes, and drive growth through leadership and strategic execution.

As the Operations Manager, you will be a pivotal leader managing daily operations, overseeing the project management team, and supporting business development efforts. Reporting to the Owner/Board of Directors, you will collaborate with the Drafting and Design Department, project managers, and the Director of Brand Development, Sales, and Relations to ensure efficient project delivery, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on professional who excels in a lean, fast-paced environment, balancing strategic oversight with tactical responsibilities, including lead generation, proposal writing, and company representation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operational Oversight**: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination across drafting, construction, and client management to support project timelines and quality standards.
- **Project Management Collaboration**: Oversee and work closely with the project management team to align schedules, resources, and subcontractor activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- **Process Streamlining**: Implement systems (e.g., using Buildertrend, Microsoft 365, Teams) to optimize workflows, reduce redundancies, and enhance operational efficiency.
- **Budget and Cost Control**: Develop and monitor project budgets, including labor costs, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality, aligning with our ≤5% operational overhead target.
- **Lead Generation and Business Development**: Assist in generating leads through client outreach, networking, and industry events, supporting the Director of Brand Development, Sales, and Relations.
- **Proposal Writing and Estimating**: Prepare detailed proposals and project estimates for infrastructure and residential projects, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with client needs.
- **Company Representation**:Act as a professional representative of J.M Robins Construction Ltd., fostering relationships with clients, vendors, and community stakeholders to enhance our reputation.
- **Compliance and Safety**: Ensure all projects adhere to New Brunswick Building Code (NBBC), zoning regulations, and workplace safety standards, coordinating with regulatory bodies as needed.
- **Team Leadership**: Mentor and manage a small team (e.g., site supervisors, administrative staff), fostering collaboration and accountability.
- **Reporting**: Provide weekly updates to leadership on project status, operational metrics, and resource needs, contributing to annual strategic planning.

**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: 5+ years in construction operations management, preferably in residential or infrastructure projects, with experience overseeing project teams and managing daily operations.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

**Software Proficiency**:

- _**Required**:_Experience with Buildertrend (project management), Square Takeoff (estimating), Microsoft 365, and Teams for collaboration and workflow management.
- _**Asset**:_Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for financial tracking.

**Skills**:

- Strong project management, budgeting, and estimating skills, with proficiency in tools like Buildertrend, Square Takeoff, or similar.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams, clients, and vendors.
- Ability to write compelling proposals and generate leads through client engagement.
- Knowledge of New Brunswick construction regulations and safety standards.

**Attributes**:

- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD/Revit for collaboration with drafting teams and CRM systems for client tracking.
