The Receptionist
As a member of our Corporate Affairs team reporting to the Director of Workplace Experience _, _the _Receptionist_ is responsible for providing first level support to callers, ensuring a pleasant experience for customers, and providing administrative support.
A day in the life of a Receptionist might include
- Greeting incoming visitors promptly with personal recognition and hospitality.
- Answering and forwarding phone calls to Virox Staff.
- Maintaining facility safety and security.
- Assisting various departments and executives with administrative duties.
- Ensuring the reception area is clean and free of hazards.
- Supporting departments with arranging couriers and postage.
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail to the appropriate individuals.
- Assisting with booking boardrooms and setting up meetings and events.
- Hospitality duties, such as organizing lunches for meetings and training events.
- Overseeing office supply inventory, budgets, and costs.
- Overseeing office operations alongside the Director of Workplace Experience by coordinating vendor appointments.
- Supporting the Director of Workplace Experience with Corporate Events and Social Responsibility.
- Other projects, duties, and responsibilities, as assigned.
- Does this sound like you?_
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in a related role.
- Ability to work on-site at our location in Oakville, ON.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Customer Service skills, Active Listening skills, Organizational skills, and Attention to Detail.
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively, in verbal and written format.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
