Manure Belt Operator

**Experience**
- Knowledge of and experience with the care of egg layers in a modern production facility.

**Education and Skills**
- Grade 12 education and strong English (written and verbal) and mathematical skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Able to adapt to changes and open to learning new ways to get things done more efficiently and effectively.
- Able to work in a fast pace environment, thinking and reacting quickly, and making fast yet accurate decisions.
- Ability to complete paperwork

**General Description of the Job**:
This position is responsible for running manure belts in various barns and ensuring the equipment is operating properly. This position mostly requires watching automated belts and ensuring there are no issues. General duties are as follows, but not limited to:
1.Monitoring the tracking of belts
2. Notifying maintenance of any abnormalities in equipment function
3. Submitting Work Orders as required.
4. Cleaning the work area after belts have been run off.
5. Assist with shoveling if a breakdown occurs.
8. All other duties assigned by Sector Supervisor.

The position is Monday-Friday. The hours may vary depend on the day, but generally is 7:00am-3:00pm. Applicants must be willing to stay late if there is an equipment breakdown to ensure manure is run off by the end of the day.
