**At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.**: The Extruder Operator will be responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of our extrusion equipment. Duties include ensuring work order specifications, all materials are available to run and all quality check requirements including any hazard assessment critical control points/safe quality food procedures are followed. This position is part of a line of progression which requires employees to move into higher skilled/paid positions based on developing their skills. Assisting and learning from the senior operators at every opportunity will support new hires in becoming fully skilled operators.

- Responsible for producing a quality product while maintaining production performance;
- Comfortable working with computers;
- Assist in troubleshooting minor machine problems when equipment is down or not performing to standard;
- Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced;
- Continually learn the responsibilities of the various positions to advance in the line of progression;
- Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds, walking/standing for long periods of time;

- Manufacturing experience is required and experience in blown film or flexible packaging preferred;
- Highly motivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities in a busy and sometimes hot environment;
- Must be able to work twelve (12) hour rotating continental shifts and every second weekend;
- Must have own transportation as transit does not operate in area before 6:00am;
- Will be required to complete a criminal background check;
