Electrical Technician

**The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, soldering, wiring, and testing various components. This includes manufacture/ assembly of the electrical panel, pump/blower(s), the wiring of tables, testing of options, sub-components, final assembly, and quality assurance.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods.**:

- **Cuts wire to specified lengths using wire cutters.**:

- **Soldering abilities**:

- **Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using a hand or machine crimping device.**:

- **Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, plugs, condensers, switches, and solenoids**:

- **Installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units using a soldering gun and hand tools.**:

- **Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs, using an ohmmeter and other electrical testing instruments.**:

- **May attach headers, terminals, and mounting studs to etched circuit boards.**

**Qualifications**:

- **Related post-secondary education (diploma) required i.e. electrical technician / technologist**:

- **Able to solder.**:

- **Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office**:

- **Knowledge of and experience working with tools, concepts, and electrical methodologies**:

- **Electrical aptitude**:

- **Attention to detail**:

- **Strong communication skills, both verbal and written**:

- **Robust problem analysis and problem-solving skills**:

- **Team player**:

- **Able to bend and work on the ground as needed**:

- **Able to lift and move materials up to 25lbs**
