**Position Overview**

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to join our team as Transfer Staff. This role is responsible for the respectful and professional removal and transport of deceased individuals from place of death (homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, or coroner’s offices) to our facilities or other designated locations. This position plays a vital role in upholding the dignity and care that families expect during their most difficult times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely and respectfully transport deceased individuals using proper equipment and procedures.
- Deliver cremated remains and documentation to families, cemeteries, and other facilities as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and chain-of-custody records.
- Assist with vehicle cleaning and general maintenance related to transfer operations.
- Communicate courteously with families, medical staff, law enforcement, and other professionals.

**Qualifications**
- Valid **Class G driver’s license** (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to **lift and move heavy weights** with assistance and proper equipment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in funeral service, EMS, healthcare, or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, no on-call

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
