**Assistant Facility Director - Full-Time**

**Located in Calgary, Foundations for the Future Charter Academy (FFCA) is the largest
public charter school in Alberta, serving over 4000 students in eight campuses
throughout the city. We offer educational programming through a Distinctive Teaching
and Learning Framework that has been developed within the Alberta context for
students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Our mission is to provide a safe and caring
environment where the four pillars of our charter, academic excellence, character
development, parental involvement and staff leadership are valued and fostered.

FFCA is seeking a dynamic Assistant Facility Director to oversee facility operations
across 10 sites across Calgary and assist in supervising a team of employees. The
a positive learning environment.

**Responsibilities**
To include but not limited to:

- Assist the Director of Facilities in overseeing the operations and maintenance of
- 9 school facilities.
- Work with and supervise a team of 3 maintenance staff, providing guidance,
- training, and performance evaluations.
- Supervise custodial staff and oversee cleaning schedules and quality control.
- Coordinate and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules for
- all facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance
- needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate services for repairs, maintenance,
- and improvements.
- Assist in the development and management of facility budgets, tracking
- expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with school administrators to support facility-related needs for special
- events and activities.
- Respond to facility emergencies and oversee corrective actions to minimize
- disruptions.
- Develop and implement facility policies and procedures to ensure safety and
- efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure timely reporting
- of facility issues.
- Be available on call 1 week per month
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in facility management, construction
- management, or related field preferred.
- Trade ticket in a relevant area (e.g., HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical) is
- beneficial but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in facility management or related field, with supervisory
- experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and
- maintenance best practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle for transportation between sites

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
