- **Job Description**_
We are looking to hire hard-working and compassionate full
- and part-time **Unregulated Care Providers (UCPs)**,for evenings, nights, and weekend shifts. Working under the supervision of a Registered Healthcare Professional, UCPs are charged with following residents’ care plans, administering medications, and observing and reporting any substantial findings or clinical changes in patients’ behaviour to the appropriate member of the team.
- **Duties & Responsibilities Include**:_
- Following each individual resident’s Care Plan
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment for all residents, in particular those utilizing infection control protocols
- Preserving required residents’ records and documentation, in accordance with policies and procedures
- Assisting with meals, laundry, and housekeeping
- Lending help with residents’ personal care, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing as needed
- Facilitating recreation programs as needed.
- **Qualifications You Bring to The Waterford**_
- Successful completion of a Personal Service Worker certificate program
- Training for medication certification and previous experience with administering meds is preferred
- Experience in working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care facility is also preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively (in English), with residents, their families, and other staff
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Current CPR training and certification.
