This role will be based in **Mississauga, ON.**

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Director, Project Accounting primary role is to serve as a Finance business partner supporting the company’s commercial operations to ensure successful delivery of project(s). The role is responsible for all aspects of Project(s) financial performance, accounting, reporting and analysis and providing leadership to a team of Finance professionals.

**Your role within the Team**:

- Ensure timely and accurate project accounting, in compliance with IFRS standards and internal company policies, including preparation and presentation of accounting position papers.
- Communicate and present to Senior Management Project results and analysis on Revenue, Gross Margin, Cash Flow & Bookings / Backlog monthly.
- Coordinate / Manage the preparation of Project(s) Budgets, Forecasts and Estimates
- Establish and maintain good communication with all relevant Project Stakeholders including Project Managers and Business Unit VP’s and take a proactive approach to identify and resolve any financial and operational matters on the project(s)
- Support Project Managers to maximize project(s) working capital position and minimize project risk.
- Act as Finance prime during Proposal reviews including providing guidance on cost estimation, Pricing, Taxation and all Treasury matters, including foreign exchange and bank guarantees.
- Manage quarterly and year end audit requests.
- Lead and direct group and team Process Improvement initiatives
- Ad-hoc requests as required by the Business.

- Undergraduate with accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is a must
- 10+ years of progressive post-designation experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects with dedicated focus on execution.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with superior analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven leadership qualities and strong sense of initiative
- Experience managing and mentoring a team is a must
- Previous finance experience in a project environment would be an asset
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with ability to work with and influence cross-divisional/functional teams
- Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Experience in Oracle, Business Object and Adaptive Insight considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, word and power point presentation.
