**Here is a brief description of what being a Excavator / Loader operator means.**
- **Operating an Excavator at Arro.**

You will be preparing concrete to be crushed or feeding a crusher. This requires breaking over sized concrete, sorting and pulverising rebar filled material. You will also feed the crusher with the excavator or wheel loader. Maintaining a clean job site is very important and having the ability to keep your work area level and tidy is required. Some tasks are repetitive.
- As an operator you are part of a bigger team, your crew. You will be expected to help perform daily maintenance on the crushing plant, shoveling around the plant, greasing, and fueling. Flexibility and a willingness to help your team with any task is a must
- The successful candite shall have 1 or more years of experience operating excavators and or wheel loaders in a production setting.
- The operator is expected to take care of the daily machine maintenance. Sweeping the cab, fueling, greasing, and cleaning out tracks as needed.

Equipment used on a typical site is Cat 336FL excavators, Link belt 210 excavator and 980M Wheel loader along with multiple attachments.

**Travel**

Our site locations are typically, Mississauga, Hamilton, Brantford, Guelph. We also travel North to Barrie or south to London. Our shop is located Near Millbank, ONT. Typically when traveling over 1.25hrs from home base Arro pays for hotel, Food, and transportation to site. When traveling extended hours are often required. Average of 60 hours per week. Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. **(Home each weekend)**

**Responsibilities**

Clear communication to Foreman

Charged 2-way Radio

Equipment upkeep

Grease equipment daily

Maintain clean work area

Help with direct tasks from the Forman

Safety systems in place

Checklist being completed

**Training Required**

Common Core surface miner and required modules

WHMIS

Working at Heights

First Aid

Worker awareness

**Compensation**
- Production bonus structure $1-$5 per hour value

**Salary**: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
