About You

You are an experienced program manager with a passion for developing and leading organizational projects especially in the nonprofit space. You excel at managing strategic programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs. Skilled in coordinating activities, setting measurable goals, and tracking progress, you ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget. Your ability to build strong relationships with mentees, mentors, and community partners, along with your innovative outreach strategies, expands the program's impact. As a strong leader, you bring creativity and forward-thinking to every project.

About the role

The Manager, Mentorship Programs will be the main lead on CRIEC strategic initiatives including the completion of the Mentoring For Emerging Industries (MFEI) project and existing commitments; reporting to funders and creating new projects. This role is responsible for creating project charters and workplans; tracking their progress and outcomes and leading a team to accomplish the objectives set out by the executive team. Also essential is monitoring and maintaining the mentorship programs and increase career mentorship opportunities and employer engagement.

**Job Type**: Fulltime Permanent

Reports to: Executive Director and Director of Operations

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week required in-office)

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the Development of project work plans and monitor progress on assigned projects
- Conduct engagement activities with employers in emerging industries and industries with significant shortages 
- Create mentoring cohorts in collaboration with employers, professional associations, and program partners 
- Develop relationships and maintain contact with employers, mentorship, and community stakeholders across Alberta.  
- Represent CRIEC in mentorship initiatives in partnership with -service providing organizations with similar goals.
- Develop an evaluation plan to monitor project results at key milestones  
- Compile narrative reports to document project progress for project funders and other stakeholders

Program Management 


- Works with CRIEC leadership team (Executive Director and Director of Operations) to ensure strategic vision for CRIEC is implemented 
- Oversees activities related to the CRIEC Mentoring Program to ensure successful program outcomes 
- Collaborates with other team leaders to develop and implement mento
- focused activities in line with strategic priorities 
- Acts as primary contact with software vendors  
- Prepares quarterly Output and Outcome reports for leadership and board review 
- Evaluates opportunities with Employer Partners seeking direct recruitment pipelines to CRIEC mentees. 



Leadership and Collaboration
- Consults with cross-functional team to ensure alignment with CRIEC’s existing programs, mission, and vision.
- Identifies innovative opportunities to grow the mentorship program and CRIEC’s other initiatives.
- Mentors, coaches and works with direct reports to assist in their career development
- Empowers and supports team by managing budgets, developing work plans, and creating meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs).
