**Reports To**: Manager, Finance
**Position Summary**: In the European Residential REIT accounting team, the Corporate Analyst will play a key role to support the accounting and financial analysis along with other responsibilities. This position will work closely with senior management on financial reporting and finance related matters.
**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare monthly reporting package including schedules, account analysis and variance analysis
- Responsible for the monthly recording and analysis of corporate expenses
- Assist in annual operating budgets and ongoing forecast
- Assist the financial reporting team with quarterly and annual financial audits
**Accounting**:
- Assist in the timely close of ERES’s month, quarter, and year ends
- Assist in ERES’s consolidation with CAPREIT
- Understand and review intercompany loan agreements and prepare the journal entries associated with those loan agreements
- Assist in the implement of ERES’s accounting policies and procedures into the SAP system including monitoring and reviewing of consolidated accounts
- Assist in set up of new acquisitions in ERP system
- Create and coordinate payment and funding processing
**Special Projects**:
- Assist in the preparation of tax schedules on an annual basis
- Proactively contribute to corporate reporting and financing process improvements
- Assist in special, ad hoc projects relating to CAPREIT and ERES as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- 0-2 years relevant experience
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA designation
- University undergraduate degree in business or other relevant discipline
- Strong time management, multi-tasking and organization skills
- Project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite functionality
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Overtime may be required during busy periods
