**Position Overview**:
Allspec Asphalt is seeking an experienced **Asphalt & Paving Foreman / Lead Hand** to join our team As the Foreman or Lead Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing paving operations, managing a crew, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision & Leadership**:

- Lead and supervise a team of asphalt and paving workers, providing direction, motivation, and ensuring productivity on job sites.
- **Quality Control**:
Ensure all asphalt paving and road construction work meets project specifications and industry standards.
- **Safety & Compliance**:
Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and adhere to regulatory guidelines on job sites. Conduct safety meetings and promote a culture of safety.Oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment such as pavers, rollers, and other machinery used in asphalt paving. Ensure equipment is in good working condition.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction personnel to plan, organize, and execute paving projects on time and within budget.Oversee the ordering and usage of materials required for paving projects, ensuring mínimal waste and proper inventory management.Identify and resolve any on-site issues that may arise during the paving process, ensuring mínimal disruption to the workflow.Provide mentorship and training to crew members, ensuring they develop skills in proper paving techniques and safety practices.**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- **Leadership**:
Proven ability to lead and manage a crew effectively, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- **Technical Knowledge**:
In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, equipment, and safety standards.Valid driver's license. Additional certifications in safety (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) are an asset.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials or equipment when necessary.Ability to think on your feet and resolve challenges quickly and efficiently.**What We Offer**:

Pay: $25.77-$32.00 per hour
