- We’re looking for a Cloud DevOps Developer
- Entrust is currently looking for a DevOps Developer to join our Cloud Services team. This position will be based in our Ottawa, Canada office and will report to the Director, Cloud Service Engineering and DevOps.
- The Cloud Service Engineering team is responsible for developing, building and maintaining the cloud platform onto which all future Entrust service environments will be built. This cloud platform will consider public and private cloud deployments, extensive automation, and DevOps practices.
- The DevOps Developer will take an active role in the design and implementation of automated orchestration, configuration and deployment of assets into both public and private clouds. This is a key initiative for Entrust and we are looking for talented, experienced individual to help us achieve our goals.We offer flexibility-

- DevOps (75%)- Design and develop, in an Agile (Scrum) environment, assets that will help, deploy, test, monitor and maintain secure components and services for next generation service platforms.-
- Establish standards and repeatable processes for managing change across environments, taking advantage of innovative cloud technologies, DevOps tools and practices.-
- Assist with transition of colleagues and services from a legacy operating model to cloud operating model.- Process (25%)- Develop plans and strategies, influence technology roadmaps for SaaS and PaaS solutions across public and hybrid delivery models with a global perspective in mind.- Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree and/or work experience.-
- 2+ years of experience in IT deployments-
- Solid understanding of IT systems development process, including architecture, design and engineering, development and operations.-
- Commercial software development and/or system administration experience.-
- Public/Private Cloud and/or Virtualized Infrastructure experience - AWS/Azure/VMWare.-
- Application programming and scripting languages such as Python, GO, PowerShell.-
- Understanding of software development, deployment and release processes, especially within a DevOps practice.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Configuration management tools-
- CI/CD workflow and automated deployment frameworks-
- Release management in an operational setting-
- Design and use of web services APIs-
- Supporting agile SDLC functions in a service provider environment-
- Deep understanding of cloud computing and service based architectures.-
- Familiarity container based micro-services and orchestration platforms.-
- Ability to communicate technology strategy and approach to developers, operations, and management.-
