Eyewear Consultant

**Job Overview**
As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support within our optical retail environment. You will assist customers in selecting eyewear, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring a smooth sales process. Your expertise in retail sales and technology will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our clients.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their eyewear needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of various optical products.
- Utilize POS systems for processing transactions and managing inventory.
- Maintain an organized display of products to enhance the shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Provide technical sales support by answering customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Employ basic math skills to calculate totals, discounts, and change for customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure clarity in all interactions.
- Manage time efficiently to meet customer needs during busy periods.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in retail sales or technical sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and product displays.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to manage time well, especially during peak hours.
- A passion for technology sales, particularly in the optical field, is highly desirable.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 24 per week
