- **Responsible for cooking menu items for all diets in quantities as specified on all production sheets; prepares menu items as specified for the cooking rotation currently assigned to;**:

- **Must strictly follow all guidelines pertaining to Cook Chill production;**:

- **Complies with Jewish dietary laws as determined by the Simkin Centre;**:

- **Maintains ingredient and portion control as per standardized recipes;**:

- **Supervises and replaces dietary staff in the absence of the Food Services Manager or designate;**:

- **Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures.**:

- **Ability to lift 50 pounds utilizing appropriate lifting techniques.**:

- **Other duties as assigned.**

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION**
- **Grade XII education**:

- **English-as-a-Additional Language (EAL) Level 6 required. Must successfully complete a prescribed skills test**:

- **Certificate from a recognized cooking school, or two years experience with excellent references working as a Cook / relief Cook in the Simkin Centre**:

- **Valid Food Handler Certificate**

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- **Minimum of two years relevant experience in a commercial kitchen**:

- **Experience in a cook chill production environment
