The Cook Assistant is responsible for the dietary needs of the children within our centres. This should all be done in accordance with the vision, brand and culture of Childventures.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Delivering nutritious lunches and snacks
- Maintaining a clean/safe kitchen, sanitizing all equipment, materials and kitchen related items.
- Dish washing and hand washing procedures, followed in accordance with Health Department regulations
- Performing duties, as laid out by the Cook
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for a prolonged period of time
- Occasional coverage of the Cook's role

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have food handlers’ certificate
- Knowledge of the Canada’s Food Guide

**MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
