Job Title: Restaurant and Wedding Bartender/Server

Location: Bodega Ridge, Galiano Island

Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island is seeking an experienced and friendly Bartender/Server to join our team. As a Bartender/Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests in our restaurant and at weddings and other special events. You will work alongside our kitchen and bar staff to ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

The contract would be until the end of September but could be extended if mutually agreed upon.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, beer, and wine, in the restaurant and at weddings and events
- Create and execute batched cocktail recipes to ensure efficient service during high-volume events
- Provide bartending services for weddings and other special events hosted at Bodega Ridge
- Work with the event coordinator and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of drinks and snacks during events
- Set up and break down the bar area before and after events
- Ensure that all necessary supplies and inventory are stocked and replenished as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area in the restaurant and during events
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Upsell food and beverage items to increase revenue
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Bartender/Server in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment
- Previous experience bartending at weddings and other special events
- Ability to create and execute batched cocktail recipes
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine and the ability to prepare and serve them
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must have a valid Serving It Right certification or equivalent
- Must have a valid Food Safe certification or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
