The Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for supporting quality control programs and activities ensuring compliance with business quality systems.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assists in implementing quality maintenance procedures in production and in updating /maintaining versions of documents as needed.
- Supports lab testing every 15 days from samples collected in production in order to analyze the behavior and performance of the flowers. Also, in reporting outcomes to Sales, Purchasing and Production departments.
- Assists in reviewing data collected from critical points and in conducting root cause analysis for qualities non-conformances.
- Helps in analysing waste percentage in relation to quality rejections during production versus inventory in warehouse, in order to submitted claims to suppliers.
- Assists in auditing 16% of every incoming shipment and reporting quality of the product on company’s information system.
- Supports in maintaining safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Additional and/or different duties may be assigned to meet the Company’s business requirements.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or GED required
- Attention to detail
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to work well without close supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task with strong organization skills
- Physical strength. Because workers sometimes lift heavy objects, inspectors should be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment which varies between 1C to 5C
- Must be able to carry boxes that weight between 2KG to 25kg for 8 to 10 hours a day if needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time on the job.
- Spanish an asset

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
- Full time position.
- Shifts will be according to company needs, depending on truck scheduling and arrival times.
