Position Summary
Relief Full Time Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) opportunity now available in Salmon Arm, B.C

Shifts are 8 hours and the rotation includes a combination of day, evening and night shifts.

Shuswap Lake Hospital is a small 40-bed Level 2 acute care Hospital in the Thompson-Cariboo-Shuswap health service area. Located in Salmon Arm, B.C the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient, obstetrics and 24-hour emergency. Our acute care caseload is quite varied and we are a smaller STAT Lab, which allows for a great learning environment. Our MLTs rotate through Chemistry, Hematology/Coag, Transfusion Medicine and the Manual bench, processing blood, urine, body fluids and CSFs on site.

Salmon Arm lies in the heart of BC, nestled between the beautiful mountains and hills of the Shuswap Region. Located right on the serene Shuswap Lake, Salmon Arm is midway between Calgary and Vancouver (around 5hrs by car in either direction) and Kelowna international airport is a short 1.5hr drive away. **Qualifications**:
Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
One (1) year recent related experience
