The **Shop Service Technician** responsibilities will include day-to-day functions related to Shop Inspection and Repair, Start-ups and Site Commissioning, chargeable shop and field service, and Warranty resolution/ administration (risk management) for the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan towards assuring Customer satisfaction, and the required profitability.

This is a full-time position, located in **Edmonton, AB. **This position is primarily within the shop, but may have some opportuntiy for local field service work.

**Within this position you will be responsible for (but not limited to)**:

- Day-to-day functions related to Shop Inspection and Repair of various pumps, compressors and blowers. Occasional Start-ups and Site Commissioning, chargeable shop and field service, and Warranty resolution/ administration (risk management) for the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan towards assuring Customer satisfaction, and the required profitability.
- Supporting the Technical Service group as well as Service Application Specialists with contact for Customers, DXP/Natpro internal organization, Represented Manufacturers, and Sub suppliers as they relate to After Market Service and Warranty matters that you are assigned.
- Development of long-range goals and objectives to ensure continuous growth and improvement.

**The primary duties within this position are (but not limited to)**:

- Supporting the company and Customer on service and warranty related matters assigned to you.
- Inspection of pump, blowers and / or compressor equipment as assigned.
- Preparing comprehensive shop service reports for submission to end users, DXP/Natpro. Represented Manufacturer?s and internal departments.
- Prepare all the required system documents towards ensuring effective and efficient quotation and order processing.
- Providing superior product support (including warranty), to DXP/Natpro Represented Manufacturer?s installed population of pumps and compressors.
- Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, costing, special requirements, and warranty support for orders assigned to you.
- Maintain Service vehicles, Service tools and supplies assigned to you.

**Required Experience and Education**:

- 3 -5 years experience working within an After Market Service Department in the pump, Blower and/or compressor industry.
- Technical education and background, (Journeyman ticket or equivalent rotating equipment experience is an asset)
- The ability to understand, implement and practice the principals of root causes failure analysis.
- The ability to work on multiple projects, and prioritize while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. (with a focus on technical) and ability to read and comprehend relatively complex technical documents translating factual information into clear and comprehensive recommendations, and proposed solutions.
- Superior organizational skills, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
- The ability to facilitate solutions between customers and represented manufactures.
- Better than average computer skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
