Jordan Station, Canada Bayview Flowers Ltd. Full time

This position is responsible for ensuring the physical assets in the Greenhouse are operating at total capacity, with mínimal downtime, and under good repair. This includes, but is not limited to, irrigation systems, greenhouse automated control system(s), and boilers. This position will also support the Maintenance activities at our other facilities as needed.

**Duties**:

- Maintain and repair all Bayview physical assets including but not limited to glass repair and/or replacement.
- Supervision - daily workflows and order fulfillment
- Assist with crop maintenance duties.
- Use of a ladder and working at heights and on a roof.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on necessary equipment.
- May be required to perform other facility maintenance duties and functions or assist in other departments as needed depending on the needs of the business.
- Ability to work independently in a commercial greenhouse environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently.
- Ability to work rotationally to ensure weekend and after-hour coverage.

**Working Conditions**:

- The physical environment requires work inside in heat and humid condition
- Required to use PPE equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
- Electrical knowledge
- Plumbing knowledge
- Mechanically inclined and physically
- Ability to work independently in a large commercial greenhouse environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently.
- Possess problem-solving and logical decision-making abilities.
- Work weekend rotational shifts for Jordan 1 Greenhouse Operations
- Position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting daily.
- Work under high pressure and pay attention to detail and problem-solving daily.
- Multi-tasking and priority management.
- Work as part of a team to meet overall departmental objectives.

**Credentials and Qualifications**:

- Good physical health (ability to lift to 40 lbs).
- Previous experiences with flowers and greenhouses. Not required but considered an asset.
- Able to stand on feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with the body, arms and legs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet departmental/organizational benchmarks and goals.
- Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement-driven changes within the department and organization.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
