**1117 Meats & Pantry** is a brand-new specialty grocery store in the heart of downtown Toronto, dedicated to providing high-quality meats, pantry essentials, and curated local goods. **The Role**:
As a **Store Clerk**, you’ll be the face of **1117 Meats & Pantry**, ensuring every customer has a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience. You’ll assist with stocking shelves, handling fresh meats and pantry products, ringing up purchases, and keeping our store clean and inviting. Most importantly, you’ll help shape the atmosphere of our store as we establish ourselves as a go-to spot in the neighborhood.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm, providing recommendations and product knowledge.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
- Stock and organize shelves, ensuring products are fresh and displayed attractively.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
- Support store events, tastings, and promotions.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help improve store operations as we grow.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment and excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on product knowledge to effectively sell and support technical sales inquiries.
- Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude.
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- Work with Store Management to complete operational requirements and operational changes in the store
- Ensure all applicable Company Policies and Procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and maintained
- Willingness to learn about specialty items and share knowledge with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Availability for a mix of weekdays, weekends, and some evenings.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
