School Custodian

Royal Crown Academic School Facility Services Department is looking for Part-Time custodial worker/cleaner who will be responsible for weekend campus cleaning.

**Hours**:
Weekend availability is required for reguar shift.

*Weekday availability is prefered for On Call Shift.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain campus cleanness.
- Ensure the daily cleaning routine of the campus i.e., empty all garbage bins, put garbage out for designated garbage area, vacuum carpeted areas, sweep and mop floors, clean glasses, doors, windows and ledges, dust classrooms and offices furnishings, clean washrooms, restock washrooms and hand sanitizers, etc.
- Ensure kitchen and cafeteria cleanliness, clean and polish sinks, counter tops,.
- Checks, cleans, moves, arranges, and dusts school items as required.
- Check doors and windows to ensure building security.
- Monitor and maintain stock of regularly used items, i.e., mops, brooms, lights, supplies etc., and report to supervisor for ordering.
- Perform minor repairs such as change light bulbs, change battery and plumbing, troubleshooting flushing issues, reports safety concerns and major repair issues to supervisor.
- Ensure the general upkeep of external property, keeping sidewalks and entrances clear of snow and ice, including salting, litter pick up, etc.
- May include set up and tear down for school events.
- Other general school custodial tasks required

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience including life skills, custodial, and general familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures and equipment is an asset
- Able to work under pressure during busy times
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Able to work flexible shifts
- Ability to lift items of up to 50 lbs

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
