**Position Overview**:
Meteor Foundry is currently seeking a full-time **FOUNDRY Pattern Maker / Industrial Woodworker**

The individual must process confidence and good communication skills, be able to prioritize and work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as interact with the production team and CNC Programmer when required.

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning the best way to build new patterns, matchplates, and coreboxes by reviewing drawings/models within specified tolerances and requirements.
- Modifying existing patterns or core boxes, repairing broken or damaged tooling, gating and runner systems, verifying these visually and dimensionally for production use.
- Building the equipment needed to support plant operations, i.e. wooden bottom/squeeze boards, jackets, pallets etc.
- Examining castings with the Foundry Supervisor and Quality team if required.
- Participating in the quotation process.
- Issuing written requests for supplies and tools.
- Maintaining Pattern Shop equipment and tools in good condition. Clean up and maintain a neat and orderly work area.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Proven expertise in Foundry Patternmaking with hands-on experience in wood/plastic/metal pattern and toolmaking.
- Previous work in foundry environment, understanding of casting processes, engineering specifications and drawings.
- Knowledge of 2D/3D modeling, drafting concepts and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- A methodical approach to work and the ability to complete a task in a timely manner,

**MINIMUM POSITION Requirements**:

- Expertise in Carpentry/Woodworking
- Good common sense with hands-on experience
- Previous work in industrial environments
- Physically able to perform manual tasks and lifting
- Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment; tolerance to paint smell
- Eligible to work in Canada (open work permit or SIN)

- Working Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday with on-time attendance required.
