**Tomlinson is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to complete aggregates sampling and lab work at our Quarry in Bruce Mines.**:
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Retrieve aggregate samples in accordance with LS 625 from the quarry along with dockside samples
- Perform sieve analysis to determine the gradation of all material produced at Ontario Trap Rock
- Daily co-ordination of Quality Control sampling activities with fellow quality control technicians, foremen and Manager of Ontario Trap Rock
- Assist with recommended screen changes at the quarry
- Assist with water sampling from monitoring wells
- Assist with vibration monitoring
- Verify testing equipment’s accuracy and perform calibrations as required
- Input test data into software and review generated reports for accuracy
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of laboratory testing equipment
- Maintain laboratory’s cleanliness for safe working environment and to prevent cross-contamination.
- Perform monthly laboratory safety inspections as required
- Work according to Tomlinson’s high safety standards

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Hours of work vary depending on production
- Standing for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights and weekends as required
- Required to work in a dusty environment along with potential inclement weather conditions
- The ability to lift to 30kg
- Areas of the laboratory require hearing protection from noise generated by testing equipment.
- Valid drivers licence required

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Aggregate sampling experience is considered an asset
- Basic materials testing laboratory knowledge is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs
