LOCATION: Collingwood, Ontario

SHIFT: Day Shift

MacLean Engineering is looking for skilled and experienced Production Planner to join our growing team in Collingwood Ontario. If you are looking to be challenged, valued, and rewarded with a competitive compensation package in a dynamic work environment, this position is for you

**About the Position**: The Production Planner position involves review, plan, produce and release work orders and work centre loading to ensure balance and maximum throughput. This position requires the following proficiencies:

- Produce work orders manually as directed by the Materials Manager.
- Daily review and process applicable AX actions including pick lists, stock adjustments, issues receipts etc.
- Daily review of Current Order Report to action any dead or stag production parts to ensure production flow through applicable work centres.
- Manage the ECN process for material (both purchased and manufactured) including coordinating disposition and containment from engineering through to manufacturing in order to satisfy production requirements as set by the MPS for both capital and aftermarket requirements.
- Participate in production planning sessions to ensure meeting of delivery and production targets are met efficiently and cost efficient related to materials responsibilities.
- Participate in year-end inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Identify bottleneck areas of production and report to supervision and management as well as assist with resolutions to ensure work orders are met respective of priorities.
- Demonstrate safety by complying with all company and government safety rules, regulations and procedures.
- Develop and implement plans to decrease manufacturing lead times, decrease costs and waste.
- Promote and participate in Continuous Improvement to meet company objectives.
- Process inquires for expedited orders by providing delivery estimates and feasibility.
- Daily review of “Current Orders Report” to eliminate dead and stagnant work orders.
- Certification or Degree In Business or Materials (AAPICS) Administration
- Three (3) + years’ experience with production planning in a heavy equipment manufacturing setting
- Proven organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Previous experience working with MRP/ERP software (Dynamic AX)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrable initiative with Continuous Improvement (i.e. providing suggestions leading to cost reduction and/or containment, increased efficiency, increased communication, etc.)
