**Job Summary**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate and provide direction to staff to complete tasks according to plans and priorities.
- Read drawings and plans and create and maintain construction schedules.
- Communicate and collaborate with other supervisory and administrative staff to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and staff adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and track staff training and provision of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report requirements, and coordinate materials and supplies onsite to ensure productivity.
- Report on progress to project managers maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Education, training and experience**:_
- College Diploma or Trade Certification in construction or a related field.
- Significant construction experience in earthworks and sewer and watermain operations.
- Experience leading crews and providing direction to trades and subcontractors.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, takeoffs, and surveys.
- Valid Driver’s License, class ‘G’ with a good driving record and willingness to drive personal vehicle (mileage compensated) or company vehicle as required.
- **Skills, knowledge and abilities**:_
- Knowledge of OH&S Act and dedicated to superior health and safety standards and adherence to protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures related to aggregates, concrete, asphalt, earthworks, sewer and watermains, and site servicing.
- Excellent customer service skills and client-focused mindset.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to create productive teams and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues and know when to escalate.

**Experience**:

- sewer and watermain operations: 3 years (required)
- providing direction to crews, trades and subcontractors: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Driver's License and use of personal vehicle. (required)
