**Summary**:
The HR Co-op, Student will be responsible for the coordination of Human Resources activities related to administrative assistance, assisting with job posting and scheduling interviews.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the HR Team to ensure tasks on hand are completed efficiently, timely and accurately to meet HR and company goals and objectives
- Provide administrative assistance including filing, answering and responding to inquiries from employees and the general public, drafting correspondence, etc.
- Assist with the preparation of announcements, job postings, filing and screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Conduct, tabulate and record data likeEmployee Risk Assessments
- Assist with the planning and coordination of employee engagement events
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a college or university Human Resource Management Business Admin program, or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of HR legislation and bestpractices
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment (must be a team player)
- Must be able to take initiative and be self-motivated
- Proficiency with MS OfficeWord, Excel, Outlook) are essential
- High attention to detail and organization
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
