**Role Overview**
The **Chief Executive Officer (CEO)** of Acute Care Alberta will serve as the inaugural leader, responsible for shaping and operationalizing the organization’s strategic vision. This is a rare opportunity to design and lead a province-wide acute care system during one of the most significant healthcare reforms in Alberta’s history.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and implement ACA’s **strategic priorities and long-term vision**.
- Build and lead a **high-performing executive team** aligned with ACA’s mission.
- Drive **system-level change, clinical integration, and innovation** in acute care delivery.
- Lead ACA’s **organizational design, operational frameworks, and clinical structures**.
- Collaborate with **government ministries, clinicians, health partners, and the public** to ensure effective system engagement.
- Ensure **compliance, fiscal responsibility, and transparency** in all operations.
- Act as ACA’s **principal representative and public voice** across health, political, and community forums.
**Required Experience**:
- Executive leadership experience (CEO or equivalent) in **healthcare, public sector, or system transformation contexts**.
- Proven track record in **leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder organizations**.
- Expertise in **healthcare governance, fiscal management, and public service delivery**.
- Demonstrated ability to **manage strategic change and foster collaboration** across diverse partners.
**Preferred Credentials**:
- **Master’s degree** in Health Administration, Public Policy, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience within the **Canadian healthcare system**; familiarity with Alberta’s health system is a strong asset.
- **International or cross-jurisdictional leadership** experience welcomed.
