The **CTO Reporting Analyst** position supports the CTO (Chief Technology Office), which comprises a large portion of the IT division of Sun Life Financial. This role forms part of the CTO Business Management Team which serves as the central hub for coordinating and overseeing key administrative and operational functions within the Chief Technology Office. This Team plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth portfolio management, strategic planning, reporting and overall business efficiency. Key responsibilities of CTO Business Management include Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Portfolio Management, and Reporting.
**What will you do?**
- Manage monthly reporting within CTO Business Management
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data analysis
- Provide recommendations based on data findings to support decision-making
- Collaborate with different teams to understand their reporting needs
- Assist with design and development of regular and ad-hoc reports/systems/databases using business intelligence tools
- Assist with creation of dashboards and visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner
- Primary contact for setup & change of CTO time tracking requests involving Hyperion and PlanView Portfolios
- Coordination of project financials, outcomes & benefits during key cycles such as strategic plan, budget & forecasts
- Gather and analyze data from various sources
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports
- Various expense analysis
**What do you need to succeed?**
- University degree in business, accounting, statistics, computer science, or related field
- Proficiency in Excel
- 2-4 years of experience in a reporting or data analysis role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated with the ability to consistently seek out improvements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to partner and build relationships
- Flexibility/adaptability and creativity to enable meeting deadlines and manage priorities
Assets:
- Experience with Hyperion and/or Planview Portfolios
- Experience with Planview AgilePlace and/or JIRA
