Responsibilities - The Real Estate group is responsible for coordinating, integrating and administering a range of diverse real estate operating functions - Areas of responsibility Include managing, planning, repairing and maintaining the Ban k's facilities and assets; maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds in clean/hygienic condition; ensuring safety and security of the Bank's employees, clients, visitors and property - The Craft-Building Maintenance group is responsible for the reliable operation of the Bank's buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment - Manages and/or performs work in all/some of the following areas: refurbishment of buildings/facilities, such as manufacturing facilities, retail stores and/or warehouses; preventative and reparative maintenance of company buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment; oversight of work related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry, substituting, changing, cleaning, repairing and installing pieces, components and equipment - Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex - Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area - Transactional (100%) - carries out defined steps, - Achieves operational targets within their job area that have direct impact on department results - Works somewhat independently on larger, moderately complex projects/ assignments - Sets objectives for their own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments - Performs work under general supervision with some autonomy and discretion, referring questionable situations to supervisor - Communicates with contacts (typically within their department) to obtain or provide Information that requires some explanation or interpretation in order to reach an agreement - Influences parties within their own job function at an operational level - May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals - Applies wall coverings, finishing, and re-finishing flooring, furniture, and paint removal on both a new construction and maintenance basis across the Bank’s portfolio - Washes, scrapes, sandpapers, tapes, and spackles surfaces in preparation for painting - Applies paint by brush, roller, or spray to the interiors of Bank buildings and to furniture and equipment - Performs portfolio-wide painting work on behalf of the repairs and maintenance organization - Prepares walls for vinyl and paper wall coverings - 'Strips, refinishes, oils, and polishes furniture and flooring - Stencils walls and equipment and performs engraving, Uses engraving machine to make signs - Installs basic graphics - Sets up ladders, scaffolding, or other rigging when necessary - Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all administrative tasks involving the work order process In a "paperless" environment - Works with and may provide support to external resources on program painting and design/construction support - Mentors new hires or less experienced trade employees - Promotes tool safety by inspecting tools with each use and reporting problems promptly - Orders parts, tools, equipment, and other supplies related to trade - Inventories supplies and tools as needed - Takes an active interest in the condition of the facility and notes deficiencies (appearance, operating, safety) to supervision - Offers suggestions for improvements - Performs all other duties as assigned - Complies with all policies and standards **Qualifications**: - Well experienced professional contributor on a project or work team - Work is closely managed - Requires practical knowledge of their job area - Clear fundamental understanding of specialized discipline - Strong experience in painting and building maintenance **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Salary**: $15.50-$29.59 per hour Flexible Language Requirement: - English not required - French not required Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 4 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evenings - Evening shift Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Commission pay **Experience**: - painting: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: On the road
