**_The Health Records Department, St. Joseph's Hospital site has a vacancy for a Temporary Full Time Health Records Technician 1. Reporting to the Manager, Health Records, this individual will perform a variety of health record functions including receptionist responsibilities, secure retrieval and storage of health records, both in hard copy and electronic formats, assembly and analysis of records, data entry, scanning functions, in compliance with legislative regulations, notices, procedures and health record practices._**

**_Qualifications: _**
- **_Excellent knowledge of the office skills, health record practices and procedures normally acquired from post secondary education, ie, Health Information Management and/or progressively responsible records management experience._**:

- **_Knowledge and ability to interpret and ensue compliance to pertinent legislation, ie, Personal health Information Protection Act. _**:

- **_Must possess good communication skills and good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of clients, clinicians and general public on a daily basis._**:

- **_Must possess initiative, tact and good judgment with ability to prioritize and multi-task. _**:

- **_Demonstrated team and independent work skills._**:

- **_Demonstrated regular work attendance._**
