As a Seed Orchard Worker, you’ll play a vital role in tree care, pollination, and seed collection, gaining valuable experience while working in a dynamic, outdoor environment. **What You’ll Do**:

- **Maintain Tree Health**:Perform essential tree care activities, including pruning, planting, mowing, and weed trimming, to ensure orchard vitality.
- **Support Controlled Pollination**: Assist in the breeding program by conducting controlled mass pollination to enhance tree genetics.
- **Cone Collection**:Gather cones from selected trees to ensure high-quality seed production for future forestry projects.
- **Work at Heights**:Climb and work in elevated positions (up to 80 ft) while following all safety protocols (onsite training provided)
- **General Orchard Operations**:Assist with various outdoor tasks that keep the orchard running smoothly and efficiently.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Education**:Minimum of a high school diploma; enrollment in or completion of a forestry program is a plus.
- **Experience**:No prior experience required, but experience in outdoor labor, tree care, or forestry is preferred.
- **Skills & Traits**:Strong work ethic, reliability, ability to work outdoors in various conditions, and comfort working at heights. Possible lifting of up to 50lbs.
- **Certifications**:No certifications required, but a Class 5 driver’s license is preferred.
