Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the planning, execution, and completion of multiple water and sewer construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Manage site operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and municipal authorities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Mentor and support site staff and field crews, fostering a culture of teamwork and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving throughout all project phases.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Report on project status to company leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in water and sewer construction and rehabilitation (municipal or civil infrastructure).
- Proven track record managing large-scale utility projects from start to finish.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, municipal bylaws, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Post-secondary education in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is an asset.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
