**What You’ll Do**
The National Management & Professional Lines Practice (MPL) has the need for a **Management & Professional Lines Broker **to assess client needs, design solutions, and negotiate with insurance carriers in order to obtain coverage that is in a client’s best interests.
- Work with the National MPL Practice in delivering client solutions in support of complex risk accounts, including large publicly traded and privately held companies
- Manage a portfolio of renewal business pertaining to executive risk lines of business - D&O, Cyber, Crime, Fiduciary, Executive Liability, Employment Practices
- Facilitate management lines analytical models and presentations
- Effectively negotiate with insurance carriers demonstrating an unmistakable command of the risk; drive financial and non-financial outcomes that support organic revenue development and retention, and seize upon opportunities to creatively upsell and cross-sell, leading to greater client product density and expanded account margin
- Cultivate a thorough understanding of markets to better assist the MPL broking team
- Build strong, abiding, trustful, and resilient relationships with carrier and wholesale partners
- Maintain accurate client and policy information in NFP’s Epic agency management system
- Collaborate with account management team and client to ensure complete and timely submissions, respond to carrier queries, compile and analyze carrier quote proposals, and present clients with a clear summary of the marketing process and a proposal with recommendations
- Collaborate with both Canadian and North American Practices for the purpose of resource sharing and consistent client delivery
**What You Bring**:
- BCOMM, BBA (or equivalent) required
- **A Provincial P&C License is required or obtained within 90 days of employment**:
- 1-3 years of financial lines broking or underwriting insurance experience preferred
- Understanding of Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O) Liability, Pension Trust Liability (Fiduciary), Employment Practice Liability, Fidelity, and Cyber insurance products
- Existing Canadian insurance underwriting market relationships are an asset
- Excellent understanding of financial statements and financial markets
- Confident, poised, and interactive - when client-facing communicates effectively, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and understands how to tailor responses in a variety of dynamic situations
- Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workloads and priorities
- Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making skills
- Excellent computer skills are expected and EPIC fluency is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products - specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
