Home Support Worker

**Specific Position Requirements**:

- The client resides near Centre St & Dufferin St in Concord (Vaughan).
- This is a live-in position requiring 2-3 days of care per week (weekends).
- Each caregiver will be expected to work 8 hours throughout the day with the client but must also be present during the evenings in the event of emergencies on their working days.
- While not mandatory, knowledge of the Italian language is considered an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Perform delegated and assigned tasks under the supervision of a Care Manager
- Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Foster companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients' condition to the Care Manager.
- Respect clients' privacy, dignity, and cultural preferences at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program.
- Genuine compassion and dedication to improving lives.
- Flexibility to adapt to different care needs and schedules.
- Strong communication skills to build meaningful relationships.
- Valid driver's license and or reliable transportation.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
- Updated immunization record including TB Test (last 6 months)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.35 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends only
