**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent education as a RN student completion of year 2 or greater, RPN student completion of term 2 or greater.
- Current CPR.
- Two years related clinical experience in the past five years with the geriatric population.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Homes Act and all applicable legislation, specifically Long Term Care Homes Act 2007 and Ontario regulations 79/10.
- Bilingual in English and French an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care.
- Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the Inter-professional Team.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care.
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within an inter-disciplinary team.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
