**THE OPPORTUNITY**
As an eCommerce Merchandiser at Capital BBQ, you'll be a crucial member of our dynamic and entrepreneurial eCommerce team, responsible for uploading and optimizing product listings to drive our online sales. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Product Database Management: Create, update, and maintain product listings and collections within the Shopify database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Merchandising Strategy: Implement effective product merchandising strategies within specific product categories to enhance the conversion rate and boost sales.
- Product Launch Coordination: Oversee the new product flow process, meticulously tracking and organizing all product assets to ensure timely product launches.
- Process Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and streamline eCommerce processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Personalization Tools Management: Manage on-site personalization tools, such as search and smart collections, to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments and team members to ensure timely delivery of tasks and effective communication within the eCommerce department.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in eCommerce: Prior experience in eCommerce industry is preferred, as it provides a foundation for understanding the dynamics of online sales.
- Passion for BBQ and Food Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for BBQ and being a food enthusiast is a plus, as it can translate into a deeper understanding of the products and their appeal to customers.
- E-commerce Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with an eCommerce platform, such as Shopify, Bigcommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon, or similar platforms, is considered an asset. Familiarity with these platforms is beneficial for adapting to the company's systems.
- Basic HTML/Liquid Coding Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HTML or Liquid coding is a bonus as it can aid in making minor adjustments to product listings and optimizing them for online visibility.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required for managing and organizing product-related data.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to multitask and set priorities effectively under time constraints is essential, given the fast-paced nature of eCommerce.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and quality of product listings.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying product information clearly.
- Follow-through: Demonstrated excellent follow-through skills to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
- Bilingual English/French: Proficiency in both English and French is preferred to communicate with a bilingual online customer base effectively.
