**Vertical Transportation Specialist**

Crosslinx Transit Solutions Maintenance (CTSM) is currently seeking a **Vertical Transportation Specialist** who will play a significant role as a member of our Facilities team. The Vertical Transportation Specialist will manage the elevator and escalator contract as it relates to Preventative and Corrective Maintenance and align the operation and maintenance of the contract to the Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s (TSSA) requirements. This includes management and monitoring of the sub-contractors Maintenance and Life Cycle Program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure a smooth transition from construction to maintenance with proper handover of technology and documentation to the maintainer through the mobilization period.
- Serve as the primary contact for all Help Desk Service Events related to elevators and escalators.
- Manage the sub-contractor’s responsibilities as per TSSA for all pre-scheduled preventative maintenance requirements.
- Investigate and report on elevator and escalator component failure and assets history.
- Maintain Electronic Service Records for all elevator and escalator inspection, maintenance and repairs.
- Report on outstanding Service Events and provide reports, as necessary, as outlined in the ProjectAgreement (PA).
- Research, analyze, respond to and communicate urgent and/or complex issues related to elevators and escalators.
- Report on and make recommendations related to technical procedures and other steps to minimize Help Desk calls and/or Service Events.
- Identify the root cause of technical deficiencies and provide improvement strategies.
- Plan and manage projects related to the operation of elevators and escalators, including Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance Plans and Programs.
- Review Condition Assessment Survey, and ensure assets meet mínimal condition requirements as set out in the PA.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and on-site quality inspections.

**Qualifications**:

- Have a minimum of 5 or more years of experience working in the elevating devices and/or escalator industry.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Have 5 or more years in managing projects and contractors.
- Have experience in working with the TSSA.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and CMMS.
- Have working knowledge of Work Order procedures and systems.
- Familiarity with OTIS Escalators and KONE MRL Elevators is a definite asset.
- An Elevating Devices Mechanic (EDM-A) Certificate from the TSSA is an asset.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Previous experience working on P3 Projects is preferred.
- Possess strong knowledge and understanding of the _Occupational Health and Safety Act._
- Possess excellent organization skills.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be detail oriented and have strong attention to detail.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have a valid non-probationary Class “G” Province of Ontario Driver’s License in good standing.

**Who we are?**

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a P3 consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS -Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the ECLRT Project. CTSM is part of this joint venture and will provide Maintenance and Rehabilitation Services for System Assets of the 19-kilometre ECLRT for a 30-year contract term.
