The Food Service Worker supports daily meal production and service within a high-volume commercial catering operation. This role assists with food preparation, portioning, packaging, sanitation, and general kitchen operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent delivery of meals.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Food Preparation & Service**
- Assist with preparation of hot and cold meals according to menus and recipes
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, proteins, and grains
- Portion, package, and label meals for delivery
- Support meal service as required

**Food Safety & Quality**
- Follow all **Ontario food safety regulations** and **HACCP procedures**:

- Maintain proper food temperatures and prevent cross-contamination
- Handle allergens and special diet items correctly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations

**Kitchen Operations**
- Receive, store, and rotate food supplies
- Assist with inventory and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas
- Support smooth daily kitchen operations and production schedules

**Required Qualifications**
- **Ontario Ministry of Health Food Handler Certificate**:

- **WHMIS 2015 Certification**:

- Ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based setting

**Preferred Experience**
- Experience in food service, catering, or institutional kitchens
- Familiarity with high-volume food production

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
