RockHaven Children’s Services Inc. is a Treatment Foster Care agency looking for a highly skilled and qualified In-Home Support Worker for Children and Youth to join our team.

RockHaven Treatment Foster Care (TFC) provides a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment for foster children who have emotional or behavioral needs. We are a family-based treatment program that allows the child/youth to experience healthy parent-to-child relationships in an environment that promotes growth and healing.

You will be required to work with a number of children/youth in our program and will be responsible for supporting up to four children/youth at a time in any of our Treatment Foster Homes to assist them in meeting their treatment goals.

**Duties Include**:

- Support caregivers with the care of children/youth who may present with behavioural needs and challenges
- Completing daily logs on the youth’s progress and incident report writing
- Socialization
- Development and achievement of childhood milestones
- Life skills development
- Ability to carry out individual youth programming
- Day-to-day functioning of the home/light housekeeping duties
- Transportation of child/youth to access visits, appointments, etc.
- You may be required to do a split shift and support more than one home during your scheduled day with mileage compensation.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Diploma in CYW/CYC/ECE/PSW/DSW or an equivalent Diploma or Degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective communication with your supervisor and co-workers
- Strong ability to build a supportive working relationship with staff, foster parents and youth
- Valid CPR/First Aid considered an asset

**Requirements to be met**:

- Current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Welfare Record Check
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Reliable vehicle
- Proof of vehicle insurance with 2 million liability
- To be trained in NVCI upon successful hire

This position is full-time, between 30-40 hours per week with a variety of days, evenings and weekends.

**This position is currently supporting children/youth in the Campbellford area as well as Havelock. The applicant may be required to travel to other Treatment Foster Home's in the program as needed.**

RockHaven is a progressive Treatment Foster Care program focused on positive outcomes for the children and youth entrusted to our care. We offer opportunities for growth and development through monthly supervision and ongoing training opportunities.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

- Weekends as needed
