For our ever-growing operation, we are looking for **Industrial Sewist and Upholsterer **to join our team.

This role is a **full-time permanent **(Monday - Friday) position located in North Vancouver.

**Meet Your Future Team**:
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, you will be creating the soft goods to meet all the quality and efficiency standards in sewing and upholstering different products.

**If you were our Industrial Sewist and Upholsterer, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Because we have our own equipment, in addition to sewing, you will handle all in house upholstery
- Quality first. You will review, troubleshoot, and repair any quality control issues with the Project Coordinator and the Owners of Nomad Vanz.
- Evolve is our DNA, you will champion it, and you will partner with your team to identify areas of improvement in order to be better than yesterday
- In cross-learning, you will be continually challenged in developing your skills.

**Are you our future Industrial Sewist and Upholsterer?**
- Handcraft upholstery items from scratch.
- Cutting, sewing, and gluing fabric according to the requirements of each article.
- Affixing zippers, clasps, laces, magnets, and similar fittings.
- Measuring and cutting leather or fabric with the aid of design stencils.
- Gluing, nailing, and stitching fabric into place.
- Conducting quality checks for orders in-process and completed.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and van conversions at a time.

**Experience and Abilities**
- You have a minimum of 3 year experience in operating Industrial Sewing Machine _(eg: Juki)_
- High attention to detail and organization required.
- Competency in using computers and electronic devices.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Cohesive member of a larger team.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to efficiently switch-tasking with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for the entire work day.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
