We are looking for a **Supply Chain & Logistics Lead **to join our growing team in Milton, ON.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Lead members of the Supply Chain Team, providing day-to-day and long-term strategic direction
- Support teams such as, Projects, Engineering and Customer Service to ensure material is available to meet their departmental demands
- Accountable for inventory accuracy of ComTech owned parts warehoused Milton as well as off-site locations
- Act as the technical point of contact with the Projects, Engineering, and Customer Service Team to understand requirements so they can be translated into tasks to the supply chain team members
- Accountable for the fulfillment of Kraus Legacy open sales orders (Full Micon 500s, Micon Spare parts, ATC, etc.)
- Work with the Supply Chain team to execute ComTech’s Logistics requirements
- Manage the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
- Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals
- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
- Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Develop contingency supply strategies, identify risks, potential liabilities, and forecast tolerance to assure supply
- Collaborate with Purchasing team to reduce costs while maintaining operational flow
- Review cost/supply analyses with Management to forecast and propose ordering plans
- Monitor inventory levels and expenditures
- Initiate ongoing cost-cutting and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors
- Manage escalated vendor performance issues
- Prepare and present regular reports as required by Management
- Develop strong product knowledge together with Purchasing team to better facilitate day-to-day procurement needs with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary diploma in Materials Management or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Senior Buyer, or Sourcing Manager
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
- Solid understanding of purchasing fundamentals and processes
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively negotiate with terms/price with Suppliers
- Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency to ensure deadlines are met
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel)
- Excellent, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
