**INLINE SKATING INSTRUCTOR (EDMONTON POSITION, SCHOOL DAY HOURS, FULL TIME)**

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- Strong skating skills (inline, hockey, ringette, speed, aggressive, skate park, pathway, urban, etc.)
- Loves working with children and youth of all ages to instruct classes K-12 and private lessons of all ages
- Positive, collaborative, and has an abundance of energy
- Experience working with children at summer camps, community centres, or as a sports instructor/coach
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills
- Confident working independently
- Punctual and possesses excellent time management skills
- Ambitious about learning and training to become one of the best instructors in the world

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, clean driver's abstract (no moving traffic violations or demerits) and clean insurance history (min. 3-years), reliable transportation
- Can produce a current and clean Background Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Has a valid First Aid/CPR Certification or is eager to complete First Aid/CPR certification training
- Has a valid Safe Sport certificate or is eager to complete Safe Sport training
- Occasional overnight travel required
- Frequent heavy lifting required

**TRAINING**:As soon as successful applicant is available

**SCHEDULE**: Work placement based on bookings throughout the school year

**WAGE**:

- Training wage - $15.00/hour | Instructional wage - starting at $32.50/hour
- Program support wage (intermittent equipment transport/transfer) - $17.50/hour

Pay: From $32.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)
- Skating: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Class 5 Licence (required)
- Clean Driver's Abstract with no demerits (minimum 3-years) (required)
- Automobile Insurance History (minimum 3-years) (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
