**Finance Professional 3, Business Services (Forecasting)**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 14

Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00

**What you'll do**
- Develop, improve and maintain BC Hydro’s Excel financial forecasting models and related schedules.

This includes:

- Forecasting models that include forecasts of all BC Hydro’s revenues and costs and are used to determine electricity rates

for millions of residential, commercial and industrial customers across British Columbia.
- Regulatory financial models that are filed with the BC Utilities Commission, including the Revenue Requirement

Applications.
- Treasury model which is used to forecast the borrowing requirements and borrowing costs for BC Hydro.
- Rate impact and scenario analyses for decision support to the Province of BC, BC Hydro senior management, finance and

regulatory groups.
- Draft responses and prepare supporting analyses to information requests from the BC Utilities Commission and intervenor

groups as part of the regulatory proceedings.
- Document financial forecasting models, processes and related controls and adapt models to changes in BC Hydro’s

activities in response to the evolving operational and regulatory environment.
- Support ongoing development of a team-oriented culture within the forecasting team, among other Finance staff, and with

key forecast stakeholders across BC Hydro.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

**What you bring**
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Economics with a minimum of seven (7) years progressive

experience in a dynamic business environment.
- An accounting designation (CPA), or previous working experience in financial reporting and/or accounting.
- General understanding of BC Hydro's regulatory accounting and processes an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Strong financial modeling skills, problem solving skills, and experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Ability to understand the inter-relationship of complex and cross-functional issues and translate into financial impacts and

simple and understandable presentations for decision makers.
- Strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to work in an unstructured environment with management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting expected timelines.
- A results-oriented team player and a flexible self-starter.
