Dartmouth, Canada Halifax Building Solutions Ltd Full time

We are a general contractor with our own team of in house carpenters. We work 8am-4pm Monday through Friday with optional additional hours if you wish to do so.

So far our focuses have been on the following:

- Home renovations & Restorations
- Decks, siding and fences
- Basement, kitchen/bathroom remodeling
- Window and door installation

**Skills**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, framing, lay subflooring, flooring and trim.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, and cabinets
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- drywall installation
- Proficient in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, levels, squares, etc.
- Familiarity with siding installation methods and materials
- Competence in operating power tools such as drills, saws, sanders, etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Supplemental pay types:
